Three Peaks Yorkshire: A Comprehensive Walking App
The Three Peaks Yorkshire app is a GPS-enabled walking app that offers route details for the classic 24-mile circular walk, individual route maps for each peak, Whernside, Pen-y-ghent, and Ingleborough, and four other shorter walks in the Three Peaks area. The app has been developed in collaboration with the National Park Yorkshire Three Peaks Rangers who have added points of interest along the routes. It also includes important safety advice and a code of conduct to ensure the safety of walkers and protect local communities.
The app provides reassurance as it guides you along your chosen route, displaying how far you are around the route. It is not a mapping tool, so walkers must take other forms of navigation and know how to use them. The app is available for iPhone users and is available in the Travel & Navigation category.
